"Dear Harvey-

I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the weightlifting certification. It was a major paradigm shift in many ways, especially learning of the important of the power position and ankle mobility for weightlifting.

At first I was somewhat frustrated, as I struggled conceptualizing the teaching of weightlifting in this manner to athletes. Then, I looked at myself in the power position and realized how closely it mimics a vertical jump, and changed my mind. After a week of focus on this position, my dunking ability is improving.

I also really appreciated your honesty on what your experience taught you to be true, and teaching us more useful information than we would have received otherwise. It was great getting to know you as a person and a coach, and I hope all is well with you."

I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the USAW course this weekend. You are by far the most knowledgeable instructor I have had for any course regarding weightlifting. Thank you for everything.

REALLY enjoyed the weightlifting workshop on Saturday at crossfit Sky Soldiers. Your information was AWESOME and is something every aspiring weight lifter or even crossfitter needs to hear!

I will be sending you my 100kg snatch as soon as I can hit it!!!"

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I had a great weekend working with you and I cannot emphasize enough of the magic "Aha!" moment I had Monday. Something clicked and I was throwing up crazy weight easy. Hit a 140# snatch on Monday and 180# C&J today (both +5# over what I did Saturday). I wasn't maxing out and I cannot wait until I do. I'll let you know how it goes. Thank you again!!"

"Harvey Newton is one of the really splendid and most informed gentlemen in the world of sports/strength science. I had the pleasure attending one of his seminars in 2008 in London and came away with many tips and ideas to implement. Since 2008 I have continued to learn from Harvey through his coaching services which I find indispensable."

"Harvey –

I enjoyed speaking with you on Saturday about weight training for cyclists. That night I watched your DVD and then I completely read your book on my flight back to Nashville. I wish it had been you giving that last presentation on Saturday!

Your DVD and book offer the guidance I have been seeking. You have given me the confidence to put together a program based upon your philosophies and knowledge. It excites me to think about the possible results.

I will keep you posted on my progress and I will probably be in touch with questions. Thanks for your dedication to improving the performance of all athletes!"

I appreciate the experience and knowledge you gave. I went in there to soak things up and learn, and I did learn… I feel with your experience, the methods are proven. As I learn more about strength, speed, agility, and various other workouts, I realize a great deal is garbage… There is just too much crap out there now. With that said, I feel like you have the kind of experience I hope to gain. I would like to learn more from you given the opportunity.

Thank you,"
